模型历史：以色列订购的33架F-35I Adir(希伯来语中的“Mighty One”)的前两架于2016年12月12日抵达，可以选择再购买17架。第116"南方雄狮"中队是以色列空军第二支装备F-35I 的(Adir)战斗机中队。生产编号为AS-07/FMS 15-5155的F-35I在2019年12月交付给以色列空军第140中队，成为第一支装备F-35I中队。然后又被转移到第116"南方雄狮"中队，编号909，并在垂尾上喷上了中队特有的狮子标志。
